Recently got a chance to use Upkarma Onion Hair Oil and Upkarma Onion Shampoo. After using it for a period of 20 days, Lovely Tiny Things is sharing its review on these products. Read this article to know more about the Upkarma brand and whether its onion hair oil and onion shampoo meet expectations or not.

Upakarma Ayurveda is quite a new brand founded in the year 2017 with the tagline of 'Balance Your Life'. With the experience of Ayurveda, Upakarma is helping its customers to lead a happier and balanced life.

Upakarma Onion Hair Oil is a blend of nourishing oils. It includes

  • Black Seed oil

  • Argan Oil

  • Amla extracts

  • Rosehip Oil

  • Macadamia Nut Oil

  • Castor Oil

It comes in a pump-dispenser plastic bottle of 200ml quantity. It retails for INR 699.00, however, the net quantity provided goes for a long time. The fragrance of Upakarma Onion Hair oil feels like a blend of several essential oils, which the brand actually claims for. The brand states that it is free from mineral oil. Moreover, it has no silicon and no artificial fragrance as well. The texture of this onion hair oil feels to be a bit of sticky but in actual, it is not. The presence of Bhringraj makes this hair oil a great option for doing head massage. A proper head massage using Upkarma Onion Hair Oil will make you relaxed and let you sleep sound and peacefully.

After using it for every alternate day for the period of 20 days, Upakarma Onion Hair oil has reduced the hair-fall problem, and it has added some shine to the hair. Moreover, the brand claims that it nourishes the scalp, and minimizes the breakage and thinning of hair.

Upakarma Onion Hair Oil is cruelty-free, vegan, chemical-free, made up of pure ayurvedic resources, and it is GMP Certified too (the brand has mentioned its GMP certified unit mfg license number in its outer card box packaging). Additionally, Upakarma Ayurveda is an ISO Certified company too.

The directions to use Upakarma Onion Hair Oil are pretty same like any other hair oil. However, one should be cautious that this hair oil should not go inside the eyes, as it will irritate them badly. In such a situation, rinse your eyes thoroughly with fresh water. In fact, wash your hands with soap and water after applying this hair oil, because unknowingly you may rub your eyes with your fingers, which will result in irritation.

Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars (I keep 1 star with me, as I feel the packaging is not travel-friendly).
