Simple recipes for a teething child

According to medical experts, the teething in kids starts from the age of 7 to 8 months and by the age of 3 years, a child gets its complete set of primary teeth or one can say milk teeth. A child may experience soreness, discomfort and pain in gums as the teeth make their way through gums.


Apart from those cold teethers and teething rings, there are certain healthy foods which provide relief from the teething pain.





Teething Biscuits

Teething biscuits can be yummy as well as a healthy snack for a baby. These biscuits are like any cookie which easily dissolves into the mouth without leading to any choking hazards. Although close supervision of the parents is needed, still teething biscuits are one of the most preferred foods for teething child. These teething biscuits are available in grocery stores, however, if you want you can make it at your home easily.

Ingredients of Teething Biscuits:

  • 2 cups of blended oats flour

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 2 tablespoon of cooking oil


Method of cooking Teething biscuits:

  • Combine all the ingredients and knead into a dough.

  • Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a cookie-like shape with proper thickness.

  • Do the same with the rest of the portions too.

  • Preheat the oven. And once done, bake these teething biscuits 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes.

Fruit Popsicles

Fruit popsicles are a great way to introduce new taste in an easy way. Moreover, it helps in teething phase too. You can use any fruit for preparing fruit popsicle. Else, you can also the combination of fruits and vegetables to create a tasty treat for your little one. For example, carrot, mango and raspberry. The most famous and beloved is the following one -


STRAWBERRY BANANA YOGURT FROZEN POPSICLE


Ingredients required for strawberry banana yogurt frozen popsicle

  • 1 large ripe banana - peeled, chopped and frozen

  • 12 strawberries - cut into half

  • 1/2 cup of yogurt


Method of preparing strawberry banana yogurt frozen popsicle

  • Blend all the ingredients into the mixer until it gets smooth.

  • Pour the mixture into the molds of popsicle. Close it properly with holding stick (if slot is available) Freeze it for minimum 6 hours.

  • Once done, enjoy it with your teething tot.


Crunchy Cumin Seeds Crackers

Crunchy Cumin Seeds snacks are made with oats, maize flour, and whole wheat flour. These finger snacks are good for the babies of age 9 months and above.


Ingredients for crunchy cumin seeds cracker snack -

  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)

  • 2 tablespoon maize flour

  • 1/4 cup grinded oats

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1 tablespoon curd

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • Salt to taste

Method of cooking Crunchy Cumin Seeds cracker snack -

  • Combine all the ingredients and knead a dough using water. It should be firm.

  • Divide the dough in 20 equal portions with small ball size thickness. Roll them into square shape snacks.

  • Once done, put these into cooking oil for deep frying. Fry them until they get light brown colour and crisp.

  • Store them into air tight container.
