7 Effective Home Remedies To Control Hair Fall

The problem of hair fall is expected during the changing weather. However, if the problem persists, it becomes a matter to worry. But several good home remedies can control hair fall in both men and women.

The problem of hair loss has now become quite common in both men and women. However, scientific studies say that we all lose 100 hair strands every day. Are you surprised? But it's true. Usually, we all lose some of our hair in a day, but when that number increases for no particular reason, it becomes a matter of concern.


Hair fall can be the result of many causes. The causes of hair fall are:


1. Heredity causes.

2. Age.

3. Alopecia Areata.

4. Cancer Treatment.

5.Childbirth, illness or other stress-causing factors.

6. Chemical Treatment of hair like colouring, curling, heat straightening, etc.

7. Tight hairstyles.

8. Hormonal Imbalance.

9. Infection in Scalp.

10. Heavy medication

11. Thyroid Disease.

12. Nutritional deficiency.


Effective Home Remedies To Control Hair Fall

1. EGG MASK

An egg is a rich source of protein, and the application of egg white as a hair mask can help repair hair damage. Egg white cleanses the scalp effectively by fighting dandruff. Thus, it promotes hair growth and controls hair fall.


To prepare Egg hair mask,

  • Separate two egg whites and mix one tablespoon of Olive oil and Honey in it.

  • Beat the paste so well that it becomes suitable to apply on the hair scalp.

  • You may apply it from roots to tips; otherwise, only root application is more result-oriented.

  • Leave for around 20 to 30 minutes, and then rinse with mild shampoo and freshwater.


2. LICORICE PASTE


Mulethi or Licorice is one of the popular ingredients used in Ayurveda. Mulethi or Licorice is a rich source of calcium, protein, antioxidants, antibiotics and glycyrrhizin acid. Liquorice powder prevents hair fall, dandruff, and premature greying of hair.


To prepare Licorice paste,

  • In a bowl, take two tablespoons of curd, one tablespoon of liquorice powder, and two spoons of olive oil. Mix them well.

  • Apply this fine paste to your hair and scalp.

  • Leave it for 20 to 25 minutes. Rinse it with fresh water.

3. ALOE VERA GEL

Aloe Vera Gel contains Vitamins A, C and E. It calms itchy scalp, i.e., dandruff. It deeply cleanses the oily scalp and strengthens the hair strands making them less brittle. It further promotes hair growth.




For Aloe Vera Gel,

  • Take the stalk of fresh Aloe Vera, and extract its pulp out in a spoon.

  • Apply this pulp on your scalp directly with the help of your fingertips.

  • Leave for around 45 minutes. Rinse it off with mild shampoo and freshwater.


4. GREEN TEA LIQUID

We all know the fact that Green Tea is a rich source of antioxidants. It prevents hair loss by inhibiting the activity of hormones that leads to hair fall problem. It promotes hair growth and make hair follicles stronger.


To prepare green tea liquid,

  • You may take green tea powder or boil 2-3 teabags of Green Tea in 1 cup of hot water. If your hair length is long, you may increase the water quantity.

  • Once it is properly boiled, let it get cool.

  • Pour it over your scalp and hair carefully. You can gently massage your hair while pouring this liquid.

  • Once done, rinse your hair with cool and freshwater.


5. ONION JUICE

Onion with its rich source of Sulfur support thick and strong hair. Thus, it prevents hair loss and promotes hair growth. Sulfur in onion encourages collagen production, which in turns helps in the production of healthy skin cells.


To prepare onion juice,

  • Grind the 2 to 3 onions and extract their juice.

  • Take the help of a cotton ball to apply this extracted juice of onion to your scalp.

  • Leave this application on your hair and scalp for 20-30 minutes, then rinse it off with fresh water.

  • Please note, the presence of Sulfur may irritate your scalp, but irritation should go away in few minutes. But if it doesn't, rinse off onion juice from your hair immediately with fresh water.


6. COCONUT MILK

Coconut milk is high in lauric acid and Protein. It also provides essential Vitamins to prevent hair loss. It moisturises dry scalp and restore its nourishment. A regular application of coconut milk also reduces dandruff.


To prepare coconut milk,

  • Grate medium-sized coconut milk and extract milk from it.

  • Once done, add crushed black pepper and fenugreek seeds.

  • Apply this mixture on your scalp and hair.

  • Leave it for 15-20 minutes, and rinse your hair with fresh water.


7. YOGURT AND HONEY PASTE

Together with Honey, Yoghurt cleanses your scalp effectively and provide moisturisation. It treats dry scalp and also strength to your hair.

Yoghurt is a natural conditioner for dry hair.


To prepare yogurt and honey paste,

  • Take 3-4 tablespoons of fresh Yogurt. Add 2 tablespoons of Honey to it.

  • Mix this paste well. And do not add water.

  • Apply this mixture with the help of dye brush. Keep it on your scalp and hair for approximately 40 minutes.

  • Rinse it off with fresh water. And you may apply mild shampoo.

Hair fall problem is dependent upon several factors. Like stress, unhealthy lifestyle, colour treatment on hair, etc. Therefore, apart from following the above-mentioned home remedies for hair fall control, it is vital to follow a healthy lifestyle and good diet.
